Location
Our registry is located at 110 George Street, Brisbane, in the old Government Printery building. The entrance can be accessed from Stephens Lane (accessable off George and William streets) or directly from George or William streets, behind the Conrad Hotel. There is footpath-level wheelchair access from George and William streets, but not from Stephens Lane.
There are several parking stations nearby, including:
- under Queen's Park (almost next door) accessed from George Street
- 53 Charlotte Street, opposite the police station between George and Albert streets
- at the Myer Centre, accessed from Elizabeth Street between George and Albert streets.
General enquiries and comments
We cannot accept applications for certificates via email or facsimile due to proof of identity requirements. Applications for certificates and registrations can be submitted by mail or at the registry office counter.
Enquiries and comments can be emailed to the registry at bdm-mail@justice.qld.gov.au. Your message must include:
- your full name
- your postal address
- your phone number
- reference number (if applicable)
- date of birth, death or marriage
- location of birth, death or marriage
- any other supporting documentation regarding your application.
We will notify you within 48 hours that we have received your enquiry or comment by email. If you don't receive this acknowledgement within that time, please send your message again as your email may not have reached us.
A response to your enquiries or comments will be provided by email or normal post within 14 business days.
