Queensland Law Week

Linking you and the law
10 – 16 May 2008

The law impacts everyone, every day.

Law Week is a national event that promotes greater understanding of the law, the legal system and the legal profession within the community. Law Week aims to improve access to the courts, police and legal and government service providers.

This year’s theme for Queensland Law Week is “Linking you and the law” and focuses on providing Queenslanders with an opportunity to access information and gain a greater understanding of the services available to them throughout the state.

Following on from the success of Law Week 2007, an interagency working group is currently planning activities for Law Week 2008.

Activities will include the Brisbane Magistrates Court open day, education packs and a host of regional activities.
