
Register of retail tenancy disputes
The dispute resolution process under the Retail Shop Leases Act 1994 involves an initial mediation conference, and if agreement is not reached by the disputing parties, a hearing before the Retail Shop Leases Tribunal.
The details and the outcome of each dispute are maintained in the register of retail tenancy disputes.
To search the register, use the following criteria:
- Dispute number year/####
- Date of dispute date the dispute initially lodged with the registry (dd/mm/yyyy)
- Partys name the name of the tenant or the landlord
- Premises name the name of the shopping centre (if applicable)
- Premises location the street address for the retail premises
- Order text a free text search of the orders and/or decisions issued
- Dispute status open dispute (final outcome is not yet available), closed dispute (the dispute resolution process has been completed) or both
- Sections of the Act Use the plus icon to identify a section of the Act
