Buy Smart Competition 2008

Did you know in 2006/07, more than 2000 young Australians under 25 went bankrupt.

Or, that the average age young people begin using mobiles is 13, with 20 per cent under 18 saying phone debt had caused them major problems.

Help young people develop smart consumer skills by getting them involved in the Buy Smart Competition 2008.

The competition is a chance for young people to sharpen their consumer and financial literacy skills - helping them to save money and spend wisely.

Winners receive cash prizes - up to $500 for themselves and $1500 for their school or organisation.

Whether you are a school teacher or work with young people in a youth group, church group, community group, disability group or any other group - we encourage you to get young people involved and talking about these issues.
