Births

Our Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages registers births in Queensland.

Once a birth is registered, the registry uses these details to compile a birth certificate.

To register the birth of a child, you need to complete a birth registration application form. You must submit the form to the registry within 60 days of the child’s birth.

You can apply for a standard or commemorative birth certificate by completing an application form in the certificates section.
