The Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages is responsible for the registration of life events in Queensland. We supply birth, death, marriage and change of name certificates to eligible applicants.
BDM noticesAs at the 1 September 2009 a number of significant changes will occur in terms of BDM service delivery. Proof of identity requirementsClients are asked to provide one document from each of the following lists in support of their certificate application. List 1: Linkage between identity and the person (e.g. Driver's licence) Couples now need to make an appointment to discuss Weddings at the Registry or to book a wedding date. An appointment can be made by calling 1300 366 430 or by visiting the Brisbane Registry. Christmas closure Our office will be closed from Friday 25 December 2009 and will reopen on Monday 4 January 2010. |
