Emergency advice for Queenslanders and departmental staff

Tropical Cyclone Nora

Tropical cyclone Nora has formed north of the Gulf of Carpentaria and is gaining intensity as it moves in a generally southerly direction. It is expected to bring destructive winds and heavy rainfall to Cape York Peninsula in the coming days and possibly the Gulf Country.

DJAG staff in the affected areas are advised to heed official advice and warnings. Please discuss with your managers if the current weather situation is affecting you or your family, and your ability to travel safely to or from work.
