Administrative access policies

Administrative Access Policies allow the department to give access to certain types of information as a matter of course without the need for a formal application under legislative schemes such as the RTI and IP Acts. They are generally designed to facilitate routine access to non-sensitive information, or an individual’s own personal information. Administrative access policies are generally discretionary, and do not ordinarily have the rights of review available to applicants under statutory access schemes.

Some administrative access policies in this department are:

  • Community Visitor policy and procedures manual
  • document disclosure policy (legal and legislative requests).
