The Commissioner

Mr Peter Martin APMMr Peter Martin APM is the Commissioner for Queensland Corrective Services.

Commissioner Martin APM commenced with Queensland Corrective Services on 13 November 2017.

Commissioner Martin APM has joined Queensland Corrective Services after a serving the people of Queensland for 38 years in the Queensland Police Service. As Deputy Commissioner, Regional Operations, he was responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, overview and review of the delivery of policing services across all five regions in Queensland.

Commissioner Martin APM is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Health, School of Psychology and Counselling at Queensland University of Technology, an Executive Master’s degree in Public Administration through the Australian and New Zealand School of Government and Griffith University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Justice Administration.
