Law Week 2017 Justice Journeys

Julie Hall

A celebrant at the Brisbane Registry for more than 10 years, Julie takes us through a typical day for her—but one of the most important days for her clients…their wedding.

Celebrants are registered by the Commonwealth Government, but the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages have staff who perform multiple roles—celebrant and, in Julie’s circumstances, an administration officer.

"I've performed over 1500 weddings since 2006," Julie Hall, Celebrant for the Brisbane Registry.
