In the Queensland Police Service, the Diving Unit conduct underwater searches and recovery of evidence, weapons, vessels, aircraft, vehicles, property and deceased persons.
The unit provides assistance to police investigating diving fatalities and conducts underwater surveys of venues, structures and vessels in relation to VIP and dignitary visits.
The Diving Unit provide an efficient and professional underwater support service to police throughout the state with the interest of diver safety foremost.
