Storms and floods - safety advice and services

Storms, floods and cyclones are some of the more undesirable aspects of life in Queensland. Western Queensland is currently being inundated and many are still recovering from the devastating floods of 2010-11 and the effects of Cyclone Yasi.

We should all be properly prepared for the threat of a natural disaster. When an emergency strikes, the Department of Justice and Attorney General (DJAG) is there to help with information, advice and support for those affected.

The following links will take you to useful sites that provide important safety information, advice and assistance about what to do before, during and after a natural disaster strikes.
