Public Advocate

Planning to co-locate the Office of the Public Advocate with other independent statutory bodies including the Office of the Queensland Ombudsman is well advanced according to a spokesperson for the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.

Following a decision by the Attorney-General in December 2011 the Department has negotiated for the Office of the Public Advocate to move into accommodation at 53 Albert Street where it will be co-located with related independent Government agencies. This will include the Children's Commissioner, Queensland Ombudsman, Health Quality and Complaints Commission, Anti-discrimination Commission and the Queensland Ombudsman's Office.
