Help for small and medium business to boost workplace safety across state

The Queensland Government has kicked off a series of free workplace health and safety workshops across the state to help small and medium businesses and their workers.

The workshops, which run from now until the end of the year, cover topics including basic safety systems, risk management and incident and emergency response.

These workshops aim to help businesses increase their productivity, reduce running costs and workplace disruptions, improve morale and enhance their ability to tender for new business.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland advisors will be on hand to provide information and free tools such as checklists and templates.

These workshops are designed to help small to medium businesses that have limited or no current health and safety processes in place.

They are suitable for business owners, managers and supervisors with health and safety responsibilities, and for workplace health and safety representatives or professionals.

For more information on the free workshops, visit www.worksafe.qld.gov.au or call the WHS Infoline on 1300 369 915.
