Warnings have been issued to residents of disaster-affected areas about the dangers posed by asbestos, electricity and electrical safety risks posed by solar panels during the clean-up.
On 1 January 2011, the Mandatory Code of Practice for Outworkers in the Clothing Industry was introduced. The Code places reporting obligations on all parties within the clothing supply chain in relation to clothing products manufactured in Australia and intended for retail sale in Queensland.
