Industrial Relations Society of Queensland Annual Conference

Collaborative Industrial Relations: Australia’s Future or Another Pipe Dream?

While Julia Gillard was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Workplace Relations she suggested that Australian Industrial Relations was about to undergo a shift towards a new model of workplace interaction that includes more collaboration and partnerships. Now, with Gillard as Prime Minister and an election in just a matter of days, our timely conference will draw leaders from Unions, Employers and Academia to assess the reality of collaboration and partnership in Australia’s modern IR system. Our expert speakers will debate whether this shift is a reality of Australia's industrial future, or alternatively, simply another pipe dream.

The Department of Justice and Attorney-General is sponsoring the 2010 Industrial Relations Society of Queensland Annual Conference.
