Records for all cable installations must be kept up-to-date. They should include maps, plans and computer databases. Details required include:

  • alignments
  • cable depths
  • number of cables
  • cable details
  • specialised backfill
  • reduced levels
  • direct buried or ducted
  • service history
  • position of joints
  • date of installation.
