Identification

This recall covers the Eurolux brand wall mounted strip heater with the model numbers SH1200A 2-bar and SH1500 3-bar. These heaters were sold nationally since April 2008 by most major electrical wholesalers and retailers.

These meters may have a quality defect which, over time has the potential to cause the meter to display a low or no voltage reading on a circuit energised with a hazardous voltage.

Action required

In this situation it is imperative to maintain the practice of testing the meter on a known live circuit before and after checking the circuit under test. Should the meter not pass the “known live circuit test” immediately discontinue its use, identify it as faulty and remove it from service. All suspect meters will be replaced free of charge, whether or not they are exhibiting the defect.
