Free electrical safety seminars across Queensland

The Electrical Safety Office (ESO) is hosting free seminars to keep you informed of the latest risk management practices and new electrical safety codes of practice. The seminars cover the new Electrical Safety Code of Practice 2010 – Risk Management which came into effect on 1 January 2010.

If you work in the electrical industry this is an opportunity to learn from others in the industry to improve your knowledge to help you recognise risks and identify solutions for working around electrical equipment and live electrical parts.

The ESO is conducting 81 seminars in 43 locations across Queensland from mid-March to early June 2010. The seminars cover related changes that are reflected in four revised and re-issued electrical safety codes of practice.

During each two hour seminar, Electrical Safety Inspectors will introduce you to the updated risk management means of compliance:

  • Electrical Risk Identification
  • Risk Assessment – except for Licensed Electrical Workers undertaking Live Electrical Work
