Mandatory Code of Practice for Outworkers in the Clothing Industry (the Code)
A Mandatory Code of Practice applying to retailers, suppliers and contractors for clothing products made in Australia and intended for retail sale in Queensland was introduced on 1 January, 2011.
The Code, developed in consultation with industry, is consistent with laws operating in some other Australian states as well as Commonwealth laws, which allows a more consistent framework for employers.
