Mediator Development including National Mediator Accreditation

This three-day course covers:

• Professional Development Level 1 (day 1)
• Professional Development Level 2 (day 2)
• National Mediator Accreditation Assessment (day 3). You attend all three days or select individual workshops relevant to your needs.

Day 1 is the Professional Development - mediation (Level 1)

This workshop focuses on breaking down and practicing some of the skills taught in the 5 day Mediation Skills course such as:

• intake
• agenda setting
• exploration.

These skills are developed through discussion, activities and short role plays. The course is geared to develop your skills to a greater level and/or prepare you for National Mediator Accreditation Assessment.

Day 2 is the Professional Development - mediation (Level 2)

This workshop is provides longer role plays with feedback for experienced mediators. You will participate in two role-plays, once as a mediator and once as a party. The feedback gained will enable you to grow in your mediation skills and/or prepare for National Mediator Accreditation Assessment.

Day 3 National Mediator Accreditation Assessment

This assessment is in the form of two full length role plays.

These days can be taken individually or at a reduced rate for all 3 days. Whilst the Professional development workshops are optional for those wishing to attempt the National Mediator Accreditation Assessment, we recommend them in preparation for the assessment and to help improve your mediation skills.
