This three-day course is for people wishing to improve their skills in facilitating group decision making processes and assisting groups to achieve productive outcomes. The course also addresses management of conflict in groups.
This course in mediation skills is based on the Dispute Resolutions Branch’s Mediator training program. This course provides participants with:
- a structure for the conduct of mediations
- the ability to adopt an impartial role as a mediator
- a framework on which to build further skills.
National Mediator Accreditation Assessment is for people who have completed the five-day mediation skills training with the Dispute Resolution Branch (DRB) and now wish to have their mediation skills assessed for national accreditation, under the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS).
This one-day workshop is for people who have already completed the five-day mediation skills training with the Dispute Resolution Branch (DRB) and wish to further develop their understanding of, and skills in, mediation. In some situations, experienced mediators who have trained elsewhere may also be able to participate.
This three-day course addresses the principles of restorative justice as a dispute resolution process within the criminal justice system. The course explores the historical context of this type of mediation process and issues that need to be considered for effective practice.

- Prevention of Workplace Bullying.
