A night to support and celebrate Women in Music and partnering with 4 Voices to raise awareness and funds for Homelessness and victims of domestic and family violence. Rock Sisters United is about supporting and celebrating Women in Music. As a female in the music industry myself, I had a vision to unite women doing what they love, which is play and create music in a supportive environment. A platform open to any females who are involved in bands that’s not exclusive to female only bands as there are many men out there who support us, so they can be in any role from Vocalist to Drummer’s etc. We provide events that showcase our kick ass women in bands, to tear up the stage and be celebrated for being women who can just be themselves. 4 Voices is a charity with a mission to connect girls and women seeking change. Simply put, they aim to reduce social and digital isolation, domestic and family violence and homelessness through the power of connection. We all need connection Building self-esteem in a supportive, non-judgmental environment is crucial to anyone experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, social isolation, domestic and family violence or homelessness. When we acknowledge that we matter, we feel good about ourselves, we can forge strong relationships, secure employment, develop self-reliance and have a better life. Those experiencing domestic and family violence need connection. 1 in 4 Australian women have experienced at least one incident of emotional abuse from a current or former partner. Shame, fear or embarrassment may stop someone reaching out. Social and digital connections are critical to help restore confidence, and a future. Those experiencing homelessness need connection. According to the 2016 Census, 44% of the 116,000 Australians who are homeless are female. 65% of these women are believed to have fled a violent relationship. Social, digital, employment and community connections can help transition people out of homelessness 100% profit from Rock Sisters United will be given directly to 4 Voices.
