The FREE Safer Families Community Event is at Rotary Park, Ingham on 27 May 2023 from 10am–2pm. This event coincides with Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month and is part of ending domestic and family violence (DFV) in our community by promoting awareness of DFV and the support services available to improve health and social wellbeing amongst our community. This event helps to encourage and empower people to start reaching out for support and speaking up about DFV. There will be information stalls from both visiting and local service providers promoting the support they offer to our community, interesting guest speakers will provide much needed information about services and other facets of DFV and its prevention. Come along for lots of fun including: free sausage sizzle, giveaways, raffles, rides, information stalls, entertainment, activities and more!
