Domestic violence is a serious social problem and a national health concern with significant negative impacts on Women and our communities. It is a primary cause of injury to women and young people in Diverse Cultures. All forms of family violence (also called domestic violence) are illegal and unacceptable in Australia and we understand for Women from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, the situation is complex. The Women's Mentoring Foundation help and support victims and survivors from CALD backgrounds experiencing family violence for awareness, better mental and emotional health and more importantly suicide prevention.
