Each year in October, SunnyKids lights up the Sunshine Coast, putting on one of the largest and most vibrant charity balls in the region. We’ve been doing this for 8 years and we know how to put on a charity ball! This year, we’re celebrating 25 years of helping our most vulnerable women, children and families on the Coast! This deserves to be commemorated so we’re putting on a party and we want to share this significant moment with our wonderful community. This year each guest will indulge in a 3-course meal with a beautiful selection of Brockenchack wines. While guests mingle and enjoy their meal, they’ll also have opportunities to be entertained by incredible live music. We’re delighted to announce the inspirational, former world number 4 tennis player, TEDx presenter and commentator and 2-time bestselling author Jelena Dokic will be our guest speaker at our event. Her achievements to date are phenomenal, with her determination to thrive and not just survive, at the very heart of her story. Each year this event raises vital funds for women and children impacted by domestic and family violence, with all funds raised going directly towards our Save A Life Tonight (SALT) campaign. This initiative provides women and their children with a safe place to sleep for one night and access to one of our SunnyKids domestic violence experts. This campaign saves lives and continues to play a pivotal role in interrupting the threat of violence before it takes place.
