The events promoted in the Women's Safety and Violence Prevention community events calendar send a clear message that gendered violence will not be tolerated, and that our community will strive for promotion and protection of women’s rights, interests and wellbeing all year round.
Community groups are encouraged to register an event to be considered for inclusion in the calendar.
Lighting up of Anzac Park

Croydon Shire Council
On 2nd of May 2022 Croydon Shire Council will light up the park with lights in honor of Domestic and Family Violence Prevention month. A sausage sizzle as well as a key speaker from the Queensland Police Service. Sergeant Osborne who has over decades worth of experience within the domestic and family violence field, will be held afterwards. The lights will remain in place for the entire month of may.
