The events promoted in the Women's Safety and Violence Prevention community events calendar send a clear message that gendered violence will not be tolerated, and that our community will strive for promotion and protection of women’s rights, interests and wellbeing all year round.
Community groups are encouraged to register an event to be considered for inclusion in the calendar.
Mum's Day Out

Aqualification & Fitness
A fun day out for Mum's and Bub's. Come along and enjoy a special, one-off Mum's and Bub's aqua fitness class taken by the facilities Director, Joy Symons. The class aims to teach Mum's what exercises they can do with their babies in the pool, regain strength and have fun! Following the class there will be a number of health and support services available for Mothers to gain information and support; plus the opportunity to meet other Mothers within the community. Stay and play over some morning tea - a plate of food is appreciated, but not necessary (a friendly reminder to bring anything in a plastic container as we have a strict no glass within the facility policy). Cost is $5per Mum (under 2 years free, over 2 years $2.50pp) to attend. We encourage all Mum's with babies or young children to come along and take advantage of this fantastic day out.
