The events promoted in the Women's Safety and Violence Prevention community events calendar send a clear message that gendered violence will not be tolerated, and that our community will strive for promotion and protection of women’s rights, interests and wellbeing all year round.
Community groups are encouraged to register an event to be considered for inclusion in the calendar.

Eid Mela is the celebration after the month of Ramadan of the Islamic calendar. The celebration is open to multicultural communities in Brisbane, of all age groups to come together for a day of fun and enjoyment. The atmosphere of festivities is created where international street foods are on sale, various cultural groups will perform their national traditional items and there will be rides, side shows and variety of entertainment activities.
