Spread some warmth
Mother's Day takes place during Domestic Violence Prevention Month, and Brisbane Domestic Violence Service's (BDVS) charity goal was to provide women in refuge a little warmth and support in the form of a fluffy robe. A fluffy robe provides a welcoming comfort, and even a luxury during the uncertainty of leaving a violent and abusive relationship. They received an overwhelming response in donated robes, from individuals and organisations, for the 'Spread some warmth' campaign. BDVS staff were out and about on Mother's Day distributing the many robes that were donated. The women who received one of these beautiful gifts were so grateful and overwhelmed by the generosity of spirit shown.
