Not in our backyard—stop abuse at the start
With funding support from the Queensland Government, the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) has employed a dedicated project officer to encourage local government and local community action to prevent domestic and family violence (DFV).
One of the key campaigns under this area of work is “Not in our Backyard—stop abuse at the start”, which encourages mayors to reinforce their communities’ commitment to addressing DFV by pledging their support.
