Robert (Rob) Turra is the Coordinator of the Specialist Domestic and Family Violence Court in Southport. The court is being trialled (from 1 September 2015 to 30 June 2017) as part of the government response to the Special Taskforce on Domestic and Family Violence in Queensland.

Rob manages all aspects of the court, including the specialist services, which offer access to support, information and referral for victims and perpetrators to help end the cycle of violence.

When Rob landed a job at the Caloundra Courthouse as a 20-year-old, he had no career plan, or, he admits, passion for working in justice. But as he moved through the ranks at Caloundra to clerk of the courtroom, all that changed.
