Staff committed to cause

The Department of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG) marked White Ribbon Day on 25 November by acknowledging staff for their participation in the White Ribbon Workplace Accreditation process.

DJAG staff have embraced the commitment to create a workplace that is considerate and respectful of people affected by domestic and family violence (DFV).

More than 100 staff have joined DJAG’s Navita (Latin for navigator) training program to provide DFV support to colleagues.

Staff have also raised money for White Ribbon and DFV services through the CEO Challenge Darkness to Daylight Run and White Ribbon Night. Staff statewide are signing touring White Ribbon banners pledging to stand up and speak out about men’s violence against women.

Importantly, results of the recent whole-of-government employee opinion survey showed an improvement in all responses on DFV topics, illustrating the success of messaging around White Ribbon Workplace Accreditation.
