YFS says Not Now, Not Ever
YFS is making a difference by introducing a new policy to support employees who are victims or are experiencing domestic and family violence.
The new policy, approved by YFS Board in early March this year, is part of an educative process which aims to raise awareness within staff, for them to have a better understanding of domestic and family violence, look after one another and feel safe at their workplace and in their community.
YFS employees are now entitled to up to five days of leave in a year; they have the flexibility to take additional time off work in order for them to go to Court, attend counselling, move house or deal with any other domestic violence related matter that they need to.
The policy presents an opportunity for us to look after our own workplace, in the same way we do for others in the Logan community.
