Free state-wide seminars explain body corporate laws
Queensland’s Office of Body Corporate and Community Management (BCCM) will host free seminars across the State to help inform community members about body corporate laws.
The seminars will be held in late August and September at the Gold Coast, Logan, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay, Gladstone, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns.
BCCM Commissioner Chris Irons will speak about body corporate and community management in Queensland and devote time to address questions.
“My office provides information and dispute resolution services for those who live, invest or work in community titles schemes in Queensland,” Mr Irons said.
“In 2018-19, we dealt with 1615 dispute resolution applications and 17,751 calls to our body corporate information service in 2018-19.
“These seminars aim to provide information and tools to help the community better understand body corporate legislation, and to answer any questions they have which might help them both avoid and resolve disputes.
“The sessions are quite popular, with the seminars at Logan and one of the Brisbane seminars at Chermside already fully booked.”
