Safer Buildings: Understanding the combustible cladding legislation

The Queensland Government recently amended legislation relating to cladding and, in particular, requirements for certain buildings to be assessed for potentially combustible cladding.

To assist bodies corporate in understanding the new legislative requirements, the Office of the Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management (BCCM) has collaborated with the Queensland Building and Construction Commissioner (QBCC) to produce a fact sheet about cladding obligations for bodies corporate.

The fact sheet also provides information about who to contact if you have further queries. Please note that neither the BCCM nor the QBCC can provide legal advice.
