Privacy Statement
The Queensland Government manages personal information in line with the Information Privacy Act 2009.
We may use the personal information you have provided in an email to prepare a response to your inquiry. This response may refer you to other agencies or organisations that may be able to provide you with individual assistance, including legal advice if required.
We may also refer your email to other agencies for review and/or action.
If you have provided personal information in your email that may identify you, or other people, our normal practice, in line with the provisions of the Information Privacy Act, will be to, following our response to you:
- delete your email (within a reasonable timeframe) or
- retain a de-identified copy of your email*, or a summarised version, on our file or
- retain your email and any other necessary details if your concern or inquiry has been referred by our Office to another agency for investigation.
*We will only retain a de-identified copy of your email if it will contribute to the identification of systemic issues for adults with impaired decision-making ability in Queensland.
