The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is an initiative to help not-for-profit community groups. Funding is available for projects that benefit Queensland communities.
What it does
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund initiative helps Queensland community groups with one-off grants. The grants are a single payment for a specific project or initiative.
How it helps
With more than $60 million available each year funding helps these groups to:
- improve community facilities
- buy equipment and vehicles
- run community programs and events
- provide services and activities for Queensland communities.
The Queensland Government provides the fund. The Department of Justice manages it.
It is free to apply.
When it runs
Round 126 is now closed.
Outcomes of funding application may take up to 4 to 5 months after the closing date.
The 2026 dates aren’t finalised yet. We’ll share the details when they’re available.

Who we work with
We work with not-for-profit organisations—where their purpose benefits the community.
Your community group must be either:
- a legal entity
- a sponsored entity and not incorporated or registered.
Once you finish the project and submit your report (acquit the grant), the grant is closed.
