Recognise, Respond, Refer eLearning program

Everyone has the right to feel safe and supported in the workplace.

In response to recommendation 32 in the Not now, not ever report, the former Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services partnered with Challenge DV to develop an innovative, online learning program—Recognise, Respond, Refer: Domestic violence and the workplace—to raise employee awareness of domestic and family violence (DFV) in the workplace.

The program aims to build workplaces that are supportive to victims of DFV and includes developing skills to identify and respond to it.

The program was launched in May 2015 and was rolled out to Queensland Government agencies as part of our commitment to supporting employees affected by DFV and promoting a safe, respectful working environment.

We are also supporting Challenge DV to offer the program to private businesses and non-government employers.
