Socceroos trading hours

Temporarily extend your trading hours to broadcast the Australian Socceroos’ FIFA World Cup match.

The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) invites eligible licensees holding Commercial Hotel or Community Club licences to apply for extended trading hours on Saturday 4 July 2026, between 3am and 7am.

Complete this form by 2pm Thursday 2 July 2026.

Your submission will be reviewed as soon as possible. You will receive a notification of the outcome by 5pm Friday 3 July 2026.

If approved, it will apply only to the specified trading hours and date. All other licence conditions, requirements, and provisions of the Liquor Act 1992 will continue to apply.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the Socceroos trading hours, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a current Queensland Commercial Hotel or Community Club liquor licence.
  • Have no outstanding licence fees or payments.
  • Have no ongoing enforcement actions or regulatory investigations.
  • Confirm the primary purpose of trade during the extended hours is to broadcast the game to patrons.

Note: All submissions are subject to review and acceptance by the OLGR.
