Use of stories in the Review

The Review may use your stories to create a de-identified report highlighting key themes. We will not use your name or personal details. Unlike formal submissions, these stories are for the Review’s use only and will not be published. However, we may quote or reference parts of your story. If you do not want your story or any part of it to be used, please let us know clearly. Stories may also be subject to Right to Information requests.

Limitations

The Review will not respond to individual stories or submissions, but your stories will help shape recommendations for systemic reform in the final report.

The Review does not provide legal advice, intervene in legal matters, or handle complaints about current proceedings.

Complaints and appeals

If you wish to make a complaint about registry staff or QCAT services, contact the QCAT Registry by phone, email, or in person. Complaints about the conduct of a QCAT member (decision-maker) must follow the complaints policy and procedure (PDF, 186.7 KB) but will not change the outcome of your case.

If you are dissatisfied with a QCAT decision, you may be able to appeal or apply to reopen your case.

Providing details of your experience or dissatisfaction to the Review is not an appeal and cannot change the outcome of your case.

Please see QCAT for more information.
