Hosted by Strong Women Talking the Open Thinking Conference draws on 60,000 years of knowledge and Australia's shared history to help guide mainstream services to work in more culturally appropriate and respectful ways. The Open Thinking Conference framework will be based on Our Watch's key drivers from the Changing The Picture resource. Breaking the cycle of violence against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children by addressing: Addressing racisms role in domestic & family violence  Intersectionality Intergenerational trauma Practicing trauma informed care  Cultural capability building  Over a full day line up you will hear from profound and electrifying First Nations Leaders. They will be speaking with first hand experience, knowledge and insight into living and working with our First Nations women, men and families on the ground every day. Aligning with this years NAIDOC theme & GET UP! STAND UP! SHOW UP! and our passionate speakers have expansive insight into the racist systemic structures that too often continue the cycle of violence, even long after abusive relationships have been severed.  Strong Women Talking is a First Nations grass roots domestic violence prevention agency that are passionate to see the cycle of violence broken by educating equiping and empowering. We believe the Open Thining Conference will give mainstream services and wider communities an opportunity to walk along side us and hear first hand, as we lead you into culturally safe yarns that will help you to better understand and work with our mob.   Full day includes:: Keynote Speakers Q & A Panel Discussions  Break out sessions Morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea provided State of the Art Venue Conference resources bag  An open discussion forum networking
