Be There - MATE Bystander Webinar
Friday 27 May 2022 12.00 pm
MATE Bystander Program
Join MATE Bystander Director, Shaan Ross-Smith for a free webinar on how to "Be There" for victims and perpetrators of violence. During this one hour webinar, Shaan will talk you through the benefits of the Be There app, why it was needed, how it was developed and how the app can support Bystanders across Australia. "Be There" helps you to know what to say or how to ‘be there’ for a loved one, a friend or even a stranger who is in an unhealthy, toxic or abusive relationship. Be there is a free app that gives you direct access to tools that empower, educate and support you to help someone who is experiencing domestic or family violence. Always have the tools on hand to help you recognise abuse and offer support to someone who may be experiencing or using the abuse. The app will help you do this safely and respectfully. Join us to learn more. Friday 27th May at 12pm. Register at https://matebystander.edu.au/ or contact mate@griffith.edu.au
