Early support for families is proven to prevent expensive, harmful crises, reduce generational disadvantage and improve children’s development. Imagine what impact early support could have on the lives of Queensland families and their communities. Please join us at this year’s United Nations Global Day of Parents Forum to share and learn with parents, other professionals and our international guest speaker. Together, we can make our vision for Queensland a reality. International Guest Speaker: Diane DePanfilis, PhD Professor, Silberman School of Social Work, New York. Dr. DePanfilis is the developer of Family Connections, a multifaceted community-based program that works with vulnerable families in their homes, in the context of their neighbourhoods to help them meet the basic needs of their children and prevent child maltreatment.
