The events promoted in the Women's Safety and Violence Prevention community events calendar send a clear message that gendered violence will not be tolerated, and that our community will strive for promotion and protection of women’s rights, interests and wellbeing all year round.

Community groups are encouraged to register an event to be considered for inclusion in the calendar.


Zonta Says No - 16 Days of Activism campaign brunch and launch

The Zonta Club of Bundaberg’s 16 Days of Activism campaign to end gender-based violence fundraising brunch will be held at The Waves Club in Miller Street, Norville from 9.30am on Saturday 26 November 2022. The club is excited to announce their line-up of speakers for this year’s event: Keynote Guest Speaker - Assistant Commissioner Brian Codd, Domestic, Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons Command, Queensland Police Service; Special Guest Speaker - Ms Sue Clarke, mother of Hannah Clarke and grandmother of Aaliyah, Laianah and Trey, and the co-founder of the Small Steps for Hannah Foundation; Special Guest Speaker - Ms Tanya O’Shea, Managing Director, IMPACT Community Services.
