The events promoted in the Women's Safety and Violence Prevention community events calendar send a clear message that gendered violence will not be tolerated, and that our community will strive for promotion and protection of women’s rights, interests and wellbeing all year round.

Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month Information Session

In conjunction with Queensland's Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, Women's Health Information and Referral Service CQ Inc. (WHIRSCQ) is hosting an information session. Our aim is to: • raise awareness of domestic and family violence (DFV) and coercive control, the importance of respectful relationships, and the support services available • increase understanding of technology-facilitated abuse in domestic, family and sexual violence relationships • encourage you to be an active bystander and make a difference to anyone experiencing DFV • know where to get help and support that is available.
