Our reform priorities

The Women’s Safety and Justice Reform priorities (the priorities document) provides a high-level overview of upcoming key reform initiatives over 2023–24 to 2024–25 addressing domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV), the experiences of women and girls in the criminal justice system, and strengthening police responses to DFSV.

The priorities document is designed to assist the Queensland community and stakeholders to understand the current reform focus and prepare for changes across the system.

Queensland’s DFSV reform agenda is driven by the government’s response to 3 independent reports:

The priorities document will be updated and released every 2 years until implementation of the government response is complete.

Delivery of reform initiatives is monitored by the Office of the Independent Implementation Supervisor.
